Open Case with Fan for Raspberry Pi and RemotePi Board for Pi 4B
Our shop is now closed, please see more information here.
This case for the RemotePi Board and Raspberry Pi was specifically designed for the RemotePi Board 4B, it perfectly fits your Raspberry Pi 4 Model B and the RemotePi Board for Pi 4.
Unlike earlier Raspberry Pi versions, the new Raspberry Pi 4B benefits from active cooling for CPU intensive tasks, to avoid CPU throttling and performance degradation.
From our testing the fan in this case reduces the CPU temperature to about 64 degrees Celsius (ambient temperature 24 deg. Celsius) even under extreme CPU load conditions, preventing CPU throttling, which else kicks in at 80 deg. without active cooling.
The nearly silent fan can be connected to the RemotePi Board for Pi 4 or the RemotePi Board for Pi 4 (external IR and LED). These versions of the RemotePi Boards have a matching socket on board.
Features :
- A fan, heatsink and mounting screws for the fan are included with this case. The fan and heatsink are the same available separately here
- Available in transparent or black color
- Protects top and bottom of the Raspberry Pi while being open to the sides for better airflow
- All ports and connectors (HDMI, audio, video, camera connector, USB, LAN, SD card slot) are easily accessible
- Made from durable and sturdy acrylic plastic
- Easy to assemble, all required screws, standoffs, nuts, washers, etc. (44 pieces) plus two acrylic plastic plates plus fan plus heatsink are included
- Raspberry Pi and RemotePi Board are fixed to the case with metal screws, no loose parts

Please note : This case does not fit the Raspberry Pi A models or the older Raspberry Pi Model B. This case would fit the earlier RemotePi Boards for Pi 3B+, Pi 3B, Pi 2B as well, but these RemotePi Boards lack the connector for the fan. It can be used for the RemotePi Board for Pi 4 paired with the older Raspberry Pi's though.
