Imagine an easier, more convenient way to use your Raspberry Pi media center, simply switching it on and off with a button of your remote, removing the annoyance to unplug power connectors or having to leave it on all the time.

The RemotePi Board is an intelligent infrared remote controlled power switch add-on board specifically designed for the Raspberry Pi 3 and Pi 3 B+. It is mainly intended to remote control and power off/on a media center system, i.e LibreElec, OpenELEC, OSMC, XBian, RasPlex, Raspbian, etc. You do not even have to buy an additional remote !

This variant of the RemotePi Board has the IR receiver and a round 5mm dual color LED connected via a 20cm long cable (included in delivery). This is useful, if you want to use a non-transparent case or you want to mount the Raspberry Pi with the remote Pi Board out of sight.

This RemotePi Board for Pi 3 and Pi 3 B+ is identical to the RemotePi Board for Pi 2 and Pi 1 B+ with external IR and LED, except the value of the built-in polyfuse is 2.6A instead of 2.0A to mirror the value of the polyfuse on the Raspberry Pi 3 and Pi 3 B+.
